2010 Detroit Auto Show: Buick Regal GS Show Car Unveiling

Check out this video of the 2011 Buick Regal GS show car, released at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show. I didn't have a chance to make it up to Detroit but I'm told the Regal made quite the splash.

Under the hood of the Regal GS is a 255-horsepower, 2.0-litre, turbocharged Ecotec engine with  a six-speed manual transmission. The high-performance drive train is expected to enable accelerations from 0 to 60 mph in less than 6 seconds.
The exterior has additional air intakes and 20-inch wheels wrapped in performance tires.  The underbody gets a unique High Performance Strut (HiPerStrut) front suspension and Brembo brakes.

For now the Regal GS is a show car but according to GM it is very likely to hit production.  I really hope they decide to build this Buick Muscle Car...wow that sounds weird!  Hopefully coming soon to Arbogast Buick the 2011 Buick Regal GS.

Suzuki Kizashi: First Drive

I had my first chance to drive the all new 2010 Suzuki Kizashi Saturday.   My first impression was, finally a Suzuki that kicks butt!  I was awed by the bold and sporty styling inside and out but most of all I love the price.  When I first saw the car I was thinking $26k, $27k until I saw the window sticker...$22,359! The Kizashi defiantly wow's with the price, not to mention this one has the upgraded transmission and a bunch of other goodies including premium wheels, power driver's seat with 10-way adjustment and three-position memory, and a leather wrapped parking brake handle and steering wheel with cruise control. 

The base model Kizashi starts at $18,999, which includes a manual transmission. Standard features include a six-speed manual, eight airbags, push-button start, dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker audio system, EPS stability control, ABS, projector beam headlights, power windows, doors and mirrors, and ambient footwell lighting.

Overall I am extremely impressed with the engineering, gas mileage, looks and price.  The all new Kizashi defiantly delivers value and versatility.   I would highly suggest test driving one and adding it to your list of new car choices.  What's it going to hurt, it's just a test drive...give the 2010 Suzuki Kizashi a crack.   Visit Arbogast Suzuki your Dayton area Suzuki Dealer or call 1-866-975-3287.

Car of the Week: 2010 Buick Lacrosse

Ok we have had the Buick Lacrosse a while now and I've had a chance to drive one for longer than just a test drive.  Am I still as excited as before? Absolutely!  The 2010 Buick Lacrosse thumbs its nose at Buicks of old.  Its styling is unmistakable, every time my wife and I go to dinner I am swarmed by bystanders.  "What kind of car is that?" they ask.  They are amazed when I tell them it's the new sedan from Buick. 

The overwhelming majority have said it likes like the Buick's from the 50's and 60's. With the sweeping body-lines, bold styling , and high performance I would have to agree it's been awhile since a Buick has looked like this . 

The Buick brand transformation continues with the 2010 Buick Lacrosse but they are not stopping there! As seen in early posts the new 2011 Buick Regal is going to be a game changer.  I am excited for the direction Buick is going in and look forward to seeing their new designs.  Visit Arbogast Buick to test drive a new Buick Lacrosse... come and see what your missing!
