In an effort to support approximately 100 foster children in the Dayton, Cincinnati and greater Miami Valley area during the Christmas holiday, CHOICES, Inc., of Dayton, is teaming up with a host of area businesses to help make their Christmas Wishes come true.
Choices, Inc., is currently on the prowl for "Santa's Helpers" and the team at Dave Arbogast Buick GMC Vans RVs decided to be one of the many local businesses who is lending a helping hand for such a worthwhile cause.
You may have noticed it's not even December yet and we already have a Christmas tree up. On it, you'll find a number of ornaments. Each ornament has the name of one of the foster kids from Choices, Inc. on it. It also has a gift idea on the back.
So how does it work you ask?
It's easy. For those who would like to help, here's a quick run-down of the job requirements to be one of Santa's Helpers:
- Select one of the ornaments from the Choices, Inc., Christmas Tree.
- Take it the receptionist at our front desk so she can record the child's ornament has been selected.
- Go shopping for the gift idea which is marked on the back of the ornament you select.
- The average cost of each gift per child should be around $25.
- Cash donations of $25 per child may also be considered as an alternative to purchasing a gift.
- Do not wrap the gift.
- All gifts or donations must be returned to us by no later than Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Pretty easy, eh?
For those who may be interested in being one of Santa's Helpers, please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you might have. We're also going to be updating our Facebook page daily with a running tally of how many ornaments we have every day.
Let's help make Christmas great for some kids who need it.
