Buick May Have Your Post Recession Cure

In a post recession economy GM believes that the answer for those in search of a new vehicle is Buick. Buick believes that buyers who made it out of the recession OK, but will still be cautious of their spending and not looking to attract too much attention will look to the Buick line of vehicles for a luxury without the giant price tag. This appeal brought a 52% increase in sales to Buick last year, with hopes that looking back next year, that percentage will be even greater with the introduction of their new premium compact sedan the Verano.
The Verano is a front wheel drive sedan compared to other small luxury vehicles that are rear wheel drive and place their emphasis on handling and speed. The Verano places its strength in its smooth, quiet ride.
It is suspected that this vehicle will appeal to young professionals and empty nesters. With a starting price of $23,470, this is within reach of many Americans. With Buick's new revamping of their style, the "old Buick" is no longer.
40% of Buicks sales in 2011 were to new Buick buyers, not the traditional repeat buyer in an older age bracket. As the brand continues to market its "Your Kind of Luxury" campaign, nothing speaks this louder than the new Verano.
With the new broad appeal that the Buick line brings, it is sure to show increased success in the coming years. Buick offers new appeal to the masses that it has not traditionally. The new face of Buick along with the introduction of new models like the Verano show a company headed in the right direction, and designed for the American public.
