If you've seen the new Buick Lacrosse commercials on television recently, you may have noticed a very famous (and large) athlete behind the wheel of it. Shaquille O'neal is the new face of the campaign from GMC and Buick featuring the sedan. Coincidentally, the LaCrosse has all of the top of the line features and space someone as large and powerful as Shaq would enjoy. Check out Shaq's Buick commercial.
Considering all of this, a question comes to light: Will having one of the worlds most famous and noticeable sports celebrities on hand be enough to generate more sales for GM as they attempt to display their new line of LaCrosse to the country?
Most likely it will...
The all-new Buick Lacrosse has some features fans of the sedan will be drooling over. The commercial was created to show the LaCrosse has the power in the engine, the space, the fuel efficiency and all of the technology to satisfy one of largest and most powerful athletes in the world - Shaq himself.
The commercial is the first in a series being pushed by Buick. The series has been designed to outline all of the new features Buick has to offer buyers, especially those looking for luxury, technology and style.
As we're all used to seeing Shaq cruise around in flashy sports cars or fancy SUV's like the Hummer, it may be difficult for Buick and Shaq himself to convince America he actually drives around in a Lacrosse. With that said, it still makes for humorous and attractive television. Shaq spends some time joking around in the commercial which helps make it worth watching while still highlighting the start of the advertisement - the LaCrosse.
Buick is known for creating high quality luxury vehicles which often appeal to an older consumer, and this new commercial series is dedicated to attract a younger following. Buick is hoping to reach out to those who are looking for a car that is sleek and stylish, with all of the technical perks and one which has great gas mileage. Shaq was a great choice to target a younger audience since he his such a well known face, especially since he usually drives flashier vehicles.
Hopefully the other commercials in the series will be just as humorous as Shaq's!
