He stayed with us setting up the OnStar, Phone, Sirius and we felt that he went above his duties. We never felt pressured into taking the deal and they did negotiate on the trade-in value of our van. Update to my previous post: Three years after purchasing my first Arbogast vehicle, we returned to shop for a new full-sized SUV. This was a huge decision for my wife and I. Again, we worked with Joe Bauman and were just as impressed the second time around. Arbogast offered a creative deal that took care of our needs and wants at an extremely competitive price. We had a list of minor issues with the vehicle that the dealership committed to fix upon purchase. We signed with some apprehension, knowing that there were outstanding issues. Right off the bat, I scheduled a service ride with Kurt Hagen, the shop foreman. Extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He took my rambling list of issues and provided a sensible action plan to address every concern. Over multiple conversations, he recalled all of the details we previously discussed and never once discounted my opinion on even the most subjective issues. He skillfully worked with both the customer and General Motors service reps to solve every issue within his span of control. Throughout the week-long service, he communicated with with me daily and allowed me to see the progress after work. I know that I put a lot of pressure on Kurt and his service team and I appreciate the care they took to do things well. The vehicle is excellent. I have full confidence in the Arbogast service department to maintain a professional customer interface while striving to exceeding customer expectations even when no one is looking.Original post: My wife can attest to the fact that I am one to pay attention to detail. As such, I appreciate when others do the same on my behalf. Joe Bauman of Dave Arbogast is one such person. I would imagine that if the staff had known my tendencies, they would’ve had to draw straws to determine what poor soul would have to assist me. I was in the market for a pre-owned vehicle and was looking for a model that happened to be on their lot. I knew exactly what I was looking for and Joe respected that. He was patient with me as I installed two car seats in the vehicle for the test drive. The interior was in near new condition and well-detailed. As I test drove it, I noticed some noises that if I was to purchase it would like addressed. Long story short, I purchased the vehicle after lengthy consideration. Arbogast gave me a very fair price for my trade-in and worked with me to address all of the issues that concerned me about the vehicle through their service department – without charge. They went through great pains to isolate and conquer an elusive whistle. They also added an item to the repair that I didn’t ask for, going above and beyond what we initially drafted in the purchase contract. What dealer does that today? No used car will be completely perfect, but if you saw and drove this one, you would have reason to challenge that fact. We dreaded starting the process of looking for a car. Our experience at Dave Arbogast's with Jamie Mead was so different. He was pleasant & respectful. We hadn't shopped around a lot before we met him, so we continued shopping. As we shopped we realized what a great deal he had negotiated for us and how up front and honest he had been in our deal. We were compelled to return and buy our car from Jamie! He absolutely did what he said he would do...he is a man of integrity! He made our experience a pleasant one! Worst Experience I NEVER write reviews, but I feel so passionately about my experience that I would like to share. My husband and I drove hundreds of miles to see a vehicle and once we were ready to purchase, the company was not willing to negotiate when it was overpriced. The tires were old and becoming dry rotted, there were chips in the paint, and there was rust on the rims which were going to have to be stripped and repainted. GOOD tires alone for this SUV were going to be $1000 and the tires on it were MAYBE going to last one season. For such a large company, I found it to be an insult. I have NEVER been to a used car lot that was not willing to negotiate a penny when it was overpriced and still had issues. Needless to say, my husband and I left. They try to throw a good sales pitch, but don't be fooled. If you are wanting to negotiate price at all, don't waste your time and stay away! I also intend on finding other sites to write this same review due to how angry the experience left me. I sincerely hope you take my advice.
My father recommended I talk to Mike Cole at Dave Arbogast when I upgraded my car last spring. Mike helped me find an incredible car in my price range. From start to finish the experience was a breeze. Mike goes the extra mile and genuinely cares about finding his customers a great deal. I love my beautiful car and I feel incredibly safe driving it. Steve Haines did a great job seeing to the fact it needed new tires and a turn up. Things you can't see from photos. Delivery to Tn. included in selling price. Best selection of conversion vans,priced fair. I wouldn't hesitate in buying from them again.
