The Great Big American Flag

Since its creation in 2003, Dave Arbogast Buick GMC Suzuki has been proud to fly one of the largest American flag's in the country. And according to our knowledge and research, it is the largest flag in Ohio. The flagpole stands at 158 feet, and the flag itself measures 30 by 50 feet! Due to its great size, our flag can be seen at distances up to 4 miles away!

Due to the large size of the flag and the ever-changing Ohio weather, the flag is replaced an average of 2-3 times a month due to tearing and fading. While to some, this may seem a bit extreme, but we take great pride in caring for our flag and its purpose.

We feel that it is a small way to show our gratitude to our veterans, and to share will all who see it, our immense pride we take in honoring our great nation. For those who have called and written to use sharing your thanks and stories, we thank you and honor you as well. We are more than pleased to continue this tradition.

The next time you are in the area, be sure to have a look for yourself. Our flag will be there flying high, in all of its glory, 365 days a year.

"The Great Big Flag Ceremony"

Since 2007, the Dayton-Miami Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts honor God and their country by conducting a flag ceremony, by retiring one the Arbogast flags.

The ceremony includes a recital of the Pledge of Allegiance, singing of the Nation Anthem, and the playing of Taps. The attendance has been fantastic, including visits by many local media outlets. Dave Arbogast Buick GMC Suzuki is proud to be a part of such an amazing and honorable event.

This year's event will take place on Sunday, Jul 5th at 3 P.M. next to the base of the flag. The public is invited to participate in this event. We look forward to honoring the United States of America and the Boy Scouts of America.
