View InventoryLearn More About the Acadia
With available features like remote vehicle start, Easy Entry, and speed-sensitive windshield wipers, it’s easy to see why the 2018 GMC Acadia
is the preferred vehicle for Troy and Dayton, OH drivers– but that isn’t the only reason why we love it. The Acadia also offers better advanced safety equipment and more power than competitors like the 2017 Toyota Highlander
making it a wise choice for those who want to add more power and control to their daily drive.
The GMC Acadia SUV
provides access to an impressive array of safety features including the innovative front center airbag which, in the event of a collision, inflates between the driver and front passenger preventing them from colliding with one another. The Highlander doesn’t offer a front center airbag. The Acadia is also equipped with an innovative new rear seatbelt reminder. This device is activated when the rear door is opened within a few minutes prior to starting the engine. When the driver reaches their destination, the system provides audible and visual alerts to remind them to check the rear seat for small passengers. The Highlander doesn’t offer rear-seat reminder making it more likely that fatigued parents will forget small passengers in the back seat.
The GMC Acadia provides Troy and Dayton drivers with a standard 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine that generates 193 hp and 188 lb.-ft. of torque while the optional 3.6 L V-6 engine generates 310 hp and 271 lb.-ft. of torque. The Toyota Highlander’s 2.7 L 4-cylinder engine creates just 185 hp and 184 lb.-ft. of torque while the 3.5 L V6 makes just 295 hp and 263 lb.-ft. of torque. The GMC controls that power better too thanks to standard front and rear ventilated disc brakes that allowed the SUV to come to a halt from 70 mph in just 173 feet. The Highlander required 186 feet to perform the same maneuver.
