The addition of more premium materials highlights Buick’s commitment to building a quality compact SUV. From the sculpted dash to the expanded rear cargo area, drivers can look forward to a cabin that is both more comfortable and more functional. Buick will also offer more luxurious options like contoured heated front seats, keyless access with remote and pushbutton start, and automatic climate control.
For information at a glance, the 2017 Buick Encore has a 4.2-inch diagonal Driver Information Center that provides data about speed, fuel efficiency, and other essential information. The new 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen interface for the Buick Intellilink infotainment system will allow quick access to options like internet radio and navigation, as well as smartphone apps via the new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity features.
Changes to the exterior of the Encore will include a new grille and tri-colored insignia, as well as a more sculpted front fascia that blends seamlessly into the flowing hood and fender design for a head-turning look. New LED-accented lighting and sculptural lighting add a sense of elegance front and rear, while new wheel designs give drivers another way to personalize their Encore.
Buick maintains their dedication to safety with 10 standard airbags and the airbag passenger sensing system included on every trim level, as well as optional features like Side Blind Zone Alert, which uses sensors to monitor the areas to the side of the vehicle and alerts drivers to approaching obstacles they may not be able to see. Other features like Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Rearview Camera with Rear Cross-traffic Alert are expected to carry over as well.
