What Changes Will the 2017 Buick LaCrosse Bring?

Longer and lower than previous years, the 2017 LaCrosse’s more aerodynamic profile, plus the use of lighter sound-deadening materials, will improve stability and control while reducing weight by nearly 300 pounds— potentially translating into improved fuel-efficiency ratings.

The 2017 Buick LaCrosse redesign will also feature a more powerful engine with the introduction of a 3.6L V6 motor and 8-speed automatic transmission combination that features fuel saving start/stop technology as well as enhanced performance. Together, this combination is said to generate 305 hp and up to 268 lb.-ft. of torque.

Buick is also adding new safety technology with the innovative Safety Alert Seat, which will work in conjunction with other optional safety systems to vibrate when alerts are received, making it easier for drivers to avoid incidents. The 2017 LaCrosse will also include access to the Teen Driver System, making it possible to monitor your new driver and keep track of their driving habits as they learn the rules of the road.

How Will It Resemble the 2016 Model?

The bulk of the 2017 LaCrosse features will likely remain unchanged, including access to features like the Bose Centerpoint Premium 11-speaker surround sound system with sound stage signal processing envelope for premium sound. Other features reportedly making the cut are the standard driver’s memory settings for seats and outside mirrors, the auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated leather-appointed driver and front passenger seating, and the remote vehicle starter system, making even the base LaCrosse trim one of the most luxurious family cars on the market.
