The 2017 Buick Verano Changes

News has been trickling down to us ever since the 2017 Buick Verano’s unveiling in China in April of last year, describing this year’s model as a “completely overhauled” Verano that shares more than a few qualities with the 2016 Opel-Vauxhall Astra K Sedan. These include a D2XX architecture framework that renders the Verano’s chassis lighter and easier to maneuver, and a tentative replacement of the current model’s naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter Ecotec power train for something as of yet unknown, though undoubtedly a step above the horsepower threshold of previous models.

Similarities to the 2016 Model

Though it represents a substantially overhauled version of the the 2016, the 2017 nonetheless remains determined to carry on the successful legacy of its predecessor. The 2016 trims in the form of the 1SV, Verano Group, and Leather Group are expected to make a reappearance along the 2017 model line, though we wouldn’t be surprised to learn of a new trim level or two. Buick’s new Verano model will also likely boast the competitive value of the 2016 model, which offered drivers top quality at a more than affordable price tag.

The 2016 Buick Verano Highlights

The 2016 Verano set the example of the level of quality engineering and comfort that motorists have come to expect from Buick, long before the 2017 model even existed as an idea. Here are some of the many strengths and advantages to purchasing a 2016 Verano:

  • Exceptional Powertrains: With the choice between a base 2.4-liter and an upgraded 2-liter DOHC turbocharged engine that deliver 180 and 250 hp respectively, as well as generating up 171 and 260 lb.-ft. of peak torque on top of that, you will most certainly feel the versatile power that comes with driving a Buick-built vehicle.
  • Comprehensive Navigation and Safety Features: OnStar navigation and diagnostic support keeps you abreast of every priority concern between you and your destination, while a robust suite of preventative safety features including Forward Collision and Lane Departure alerts help give you peace of mind on the open road.
  • Optimized Comfort: Designed to give drivers the latest in ergonomic convenience, the 2016 Verano is outfitted with a widely adjustable driver’s seat and tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel guaranteed to make each ride in the Verano an experience in cutting-edge comfort.
