The 2016 GMC Sierra 3500HD offers three robust engines, configurable to suit whatever type of work you need to complete:

• 6.0L V8 CNG – Available in select markets, the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) engine can utilize both gas and natural gas to produce up to 360 hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque.
• Vortec V8 – The 6.0L E85 capable gasoline engine with Variable Valve Timing can deliver 360 hp and up to 380 lb.-ft. of peak torque.
• Duramax – For pure towing power, GMC offers the 6.6L Turbodiesel V8 engine and Allison 1000 6-speed automatic transmission can produce as much as 397 hp and 765 lb.-ft. of torque.

Properly equipped, the 3500HD delivers a maximum payload of 6,111 pounds and a maximum towing capability 23,200 pounds with a fifth-wheel hitch.

Exterior

With the integrated CornerStep rear bumper with built-in handholds, drivers can easily access the bed of the truck and its contents. Other options like a spray-in bedliner, remote locking tailgate, LED box lighting, tonneau cover, and eight total tie-down hooks mean that no matter how unusual the cargo, the 3500HD can handle it.
