Dave Arbogast Buick GMC was again named among the top performing Buick GMC dealers in the country.  In May Arbogast was the top Buick GMC dealer in Ohio and was ranked 58th overall in the country.  Arbogast has been one of GM's top volume dealers for the past 15 years.

"Achieving a Top 100 ranking in new Buick GMC sales is the result of hard work and a focus on providing an exceptional sales, service, and ownership experience for our customers," comments Dave Arbogast.  Arbogast also attributes improved sales to the popularity of the all new 2010 GMC Terrain and the 2010 Buick Lacrosse.

"We look forward to a strong summer season and invite everyone to come test drive the 2011 Buick Regal. The introduction of the Regal adds a dymanic car to a already stellar Buick line up," said Blake Arbogast.

To schedule a test drive please call 1-866-975-3287 or email arbogastonline@davearbogast.com.

Congratulations to Zack Rohr, a Troy High School sophomore, for winning this year's donated car from Dave Arbogast for perfect attendance! Zack, age 16, was randomly selected out of 107 students from THS that have never missed a day of school or shown up late. That amazing record paid off for Zack as he was awarded a bright red 2002 Chevy Cavalier on Thursday, May 27, 2010.

For eight years now, Dave Arbogast Buick GMC Auto Sales has been happy to award a vehicle to a Troy High School student with perfect attendance. It's especially fun for Blake Arbogast who is a graduate of THS himself. Blake and the rest of Arbogast employees look forward at the end of every school year to congratulating a lucky and deserving student.

This win was especially rewarding for Zach, as he has been borrowing a friend's car to get to and from school every day after wrecking his own car last fall. However, this big win won't stop the sophomore from going to school every day on time. He said, "I just like school. It's a place where you can see your friends and have fun, so that's why I'm here every day. And I'll still come every day."

Zach and Blake Arbogast were equally excited as the keys were handed off. The attendance record of this young student and the generosity of Dave Arbogast Auto sales are both impressive.

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 Blake Arbogast with Dave Arbogast Buick, Pontiac, GMC Inc. presented Larry Butt, Director for Young Life of Miami County, with a check for $3,000! This donation was the product of the 2010 Arbogast Charity Drive. In April of this year, Arbogast announced on their Facebook page that they were taking nominations for local charities and organizations to be the recipient of the proceeds from their charity drive! People were asked...

Check out the Chevrolet Cavalier Dave Arbogast is giving away tomorrow at Troy High School.  For the sixth consecutive year Arbogast will donate a vehicle to the high school for their perfect attendance drawing.  Tomorrow one lucky student with will be driving away in style!

New GM Commercial with Ed Whitacre

I was sitting with my wife last night when this commercial came on featuring Ed Whitacre CEO of GM.  My first thought was finally Ed's showing so fire!  I really think this a great commercial, I mean come on GM paid off the loans five years early.  Check out the Video...

This morning, General Motors Chairman and CEO Ed Whitacre confirmed that the company has paid back a total of $5.8 billion in federal loans a full five years ahead of schedule. Whitacre attributed the company's ability to make the payment, with interest, to its new strategy and the success of new models like the Buick Lacrosse.

GM received some $50 billion in loans from both the U.S. and Canadian governments, with the majority of those funds converted into company stock. The remainder totaled over $8 billion owed to the U.S. and Canadian governments, all of which has now been paid back less than a year after GM emerged from bankruptcy. The news was announced at a press conference at the company's Fairfax, Kansas manufacturing facility, which will soon add production of the hot-selling Chevrolet Malibu, and was attended by Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson and other members of government.

As it is, the federal government still owns 60.8 percent of GM, which means that whenever the company issues its IPO, the tax payers could easily get all of their money back.
