The 2015 GMC Sierra 3500 HD emerged as the victor of the 2014 Ultimate Heavy Duty Challenge in the 1 ton diesel truck grouping. Truck aficionados from Cars.com, Mrtruck.com, Cars.com and PickupTrucks.com grouped together to test a variety of this year’s trucks and determined that the Sierra 3500 HD is the best of the 1 ton diesel category. The main competitors in the competition were the Ram 3500 and the Ford F350. The F350 even boasts the popular Powerstroke diesel engine and still lost out to the Sierra 3500 HD by a significant margin.
