2016 GMC Sierra Update
Just recently, GMC brought forward its revised styling of the 2016 Sierra pickup. This is a bold move by GMC considering it has only been a little bit over two years since the present model was updated and redesigned. There is a considerable amount of speculation that GMC may have done this in an effort not to be outdone by its fellow brand, Chevy, that recently unveiled its redesigned styling for the 2016 Silverado. What exactly motivated GMC’s decision to update the styling of the 2016 Sierra remains a bit of a mystery, however, it is certain that GMC has really outfitted the updated Sierra with some seriously awesome styling and features.
Although pictures of the complete makeover of the 2016 Sierra have been somewhat rare to find, the styling changes that have been revealed so far hint towards the pickup having some subtle elements in its design makeover that give the vehicle a more muscular look than previous models have possessed. In addition to having a more muscular look, GMC has revealed through its pictures of the restyled Sierra that All Terrain, Denali, and SLT trim levels are all outfitted with exceptional features that really make the new pickup shine. With its C-formed tailights and daytime running lights, mist lights, and new headlights utilizing LED components, the Sierra is certainly going to make heads turn.
Making sure that heads turn certainly seems to be a goal with GMC, seeing how the Sierra has been decked out with more chrome than the straight-laced Silverado. With OnStar 4G LTE and Apple’s Car Play integrated into the Sierra’s redesigned dashboard, the pickup is most assuredly going to keep its driver and passengers connected to the world around them. All in all, the 2016 Sierra is quite a bit more luxurious than its more modest Chevy cousin.
The new features of the Sierra should help GMC maintain its current twelve year trend of consistently raising its business year after year. Showing that it appreciates its customers for helping the company to enjoy that trend, GMC has stated that the design makeover was prompted by customer input that said that the overall design was one of the leading factors in customers choosing to own a Sierra. What remains to be seen is how customers will react when the mechanical features of the redesigned 2016 Sierra are revealed. However, it seems overall that GMC customers will really enjoy the updated 2016 Sierra.
