2016 GMC Terrain Refresh
The 2016 GMC Terrain has transformed into one of most rewarding crossover vehicles on the market. Benefiting from several improvements, the compact SUV is now more stylish than ever more. While the base model is certainly attractive, the top-of-the-line Denali trim is absolutely stunning. However, the new GMC Terrain is more than just a show pony. It also rewards the driver with an outstanding performance on the road.
Masculine Appearance
Unlike some of the boring-looking crossovers on the market, the 2016 GMC Terrain is a rolling piece of artwork. In an effort to give the SUV a more modern look, GMC decided to revamp both the front and rear fascias. Meanwhile, a new hood helps to give the Terrain an even more refined appearance than the outgoing model. Onlookers will immediately notice the Terrain’s wide fenders. Equipped with LED daytime running lights and a beautiful set of 19-inch wheels, the Denali model is clearly the most stylish trim in the lineup. Some of the new exterior paint colors include Crimson Red Tintcoat and White Frost Tricoat.
Powerful Engines
Like the outgoing model, the new Terrain comes standard with an efficient 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine. The direct-injected engine pumps out an impressive 180 horsepower. With a fuel economy rating of 32 mpg on the highway, the engine proves to be a true fuel-sipper. However, some drivers may prefer the sheer thrill of the V-6 engine. The muscular engine churns out a capable 301 horsepower. Not only does the V-6 engine raise the Terrain’s fun factor, but it also boosts the SUV’s towing capacity to 3,000 pounds. This is a major advantage for the travelers who may need to haul around a couple of jet skis.
Versatile Design
Drivers will love the Terrain’s versatile design. Despite the SUV’s rather small stature, it still offers an incredibly amount of legroom for the rear-seat passengers. When the rear seats are not being used, they can be folded to offer a surplus of cargo space. From flat-screen TVs to golfing equipment, a wide variety of different items can be transported in the back.
Plenty of Intriguing Features
A redesigned center stack comes standard on every new Terrain. Prospective buyers can also opt for even more exciting features. While the built-in Wi-Fi hot-spot provides easy access to the Internet, the power tail-gate can actually be programmed to rise to a certain height. Meanwhile, technology lovers will certainly appreciate the responsive GMC IntelliLink infotainment system.
As you can see, the 2016 GMC brings a lot to the table. Although the official pricing has yet to be released, expect to be very pleased.
