2017 Buick Enclave Sport Touring Preview

From the heated, wood-trimmed steering wheel to the ice-blue interior lights, there’s something special about the 2017 Enclave Sport Touring Edition. Buick is offering this design-focused line-up on the Enclave in recognition of the midsized SUV’s loyal following.

The Enclave is a three-row SUV that appeals to busy families. Despite its family focus, the third row can seat adult passengers comfortable, making this SUV more hospitable to business use. Apparently the Enclave has many repeat customers, earning it one of the top model-to-model loyalty rates. Returning customers accounted for a remarkable one-third of all 2015 Buick Enclave sales. This led the automaker to offer the designer good looks of the Sport Touring edition.

Making its debut at the prestigious New York International Auto Show, the 2017 Buick Enclave Sport Touring line-up is now coming to dealers. The model has 20-inch chrome-clad wheels that emphasize its athletic personality. These wheels have special Satin Black Ice Accents to match the Satin Black Ice-toned grille. Three premium exterior colors are offered, including White Frost TriCoat and metallics of Ebony Twilight and Crimson Red.

Rather than limit the Sport Touring to one edition, it comes in both the Leather and Premium trims. Shoppers will appreciate must-have comfort features like tri-zone automatic climate control, ensuring a more pleasant ride for the kids. The Leather models have heated front seats, taking care of Mom and Dad. These eight-way power-adjustable chairs also have power-lumbar support and power-recline. The driver’s chair has a memory feature for quick, accurate adjustments. The power liftgate makes it easy to access the large cargo hold. The Premium models offer these features, but add even more amenities. For instance, the front seats have power-ventilation to take care of summer heat. The steering wheel gains a power-tilt/telescopic feature that makes it easier for drivers to quickly find the angle they want.

Buick IntelliLink is on board all 2017 Enclave Sport Touring models. This color touchscreen radio offers modern connectivity via apps and smartphone streaming. The Enclave also offers 4G LTE Connectivity. This built-in WiFi hotspot comes with a free trial subscription. Buick’s signature QuietTuning ensures a luxury ride quality that lets everyone relax and enjoy music without interference from road noise.

Other Sport Touring editions are offered on the 2016 Regal, LaCrosse, Verano and Encore. The Enclave is also offering a special Tuscan Edition with a bronze-tone grille. Its 20-inch chrome clad-wheels are accented with bronze highlights. Upscale design choices add to Buick’s appeal with luxury shoppers.
