The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 is perfect option if you are looking for a pickup truck that has power and towing capabilities, but also provides a safe and comfortable ride for day-to-day driving. New for 2017, the GMC Sierra 1500 has a driver monitor system, an updated exterior with active grille shutters to boost aerodynamics, and the Driver Alert System has been updated with low-speed automated braking.
Available in Single, Double, and Crew Cab styles, there are several different box lengths and trims to choose from also. The Standard Cab has a 6.5-foot or an 8.0-foot box available and both come in base and SLE trims. The Crew and Double Cab come in base, SLE, and SLT trims, but the top of the line Denali trim is only available in a Crew Cab style.
Performance

However, the 5.3-liter V-8 engine with 355 horsepower is available on the base and SLE models, and this engine comes standard on the higher SLT and Denali trims. A 6-speed automatic transmission is equipped with both of these engines. For maximum performance, a 6.2-liter V-8 is available with 420 horsepower and paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine is available on both the SLT trim and Denali trim.
Interior and Exterior
The exterior of the Sierra 1500 by GMC is both sturdy and stylish in appearance and function. Chrome bumpers and grilles are standard and several exterior convenience factors are available. Heated side mirrors with signals are an option, along with IntelliBeam headlights and LED tail lamps. A wide array of appearance packages are available, too, letting you customize what type of window tinting, wheels, and more you prefer.
Inside the 2017 GMC Sierra 1500, you can enjoy comfort and modern convenience. The instrument panel is easily visible, and the infotainment center is easy to operate.
