Although the new GMC Sierra will not officially hit the market until next year, this slightly camouflaged test mule provides fans with some insight on its appearance. Onlookers will immediately notice the heavy-duty truck’s chiseled physique. The Sierra HD’s LED-wrapped headlights also give it an extremely modern look. When the upcoming Sierra HD was spotted, the truck was actually towing a trailer.

While GMC has yet to announce the specific engine offerings, rumors suggest that the popular Vortec engine could be replaced by a newer version. The new V-8 motor will likely be designed with an iron block, which should equate to superb durability. This will be a major advantage for the truck owners who desire longevity. The small-block V-8 engine is also expected to be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Due to the extra two gears, a rise in efficiency is certainly a possibility.
