2017 LaCrosse: Updated, More Stylish Look for Buick

The 2017 Lacrosse by Buick, which debuted at the 2015 Los Angeles Motor Show, features a far more stylish profile than previous years past. The 2017 Buick LaCrosse offers more responsive performance and sophisticated technologies and this year.

This 2017 LaCrosse is part of a new look for Buick. The LaCrosse is based on the Avenir concept. The LaCrosse’s exterior design gives it a new, more dramatic proportion. The front wheels have been pulled forward and the wheelbase stretched. The overall length was increased only a little longer. The roofline is just a bit lower than the 2016 model. Widening the wheelbase, lowering the roofline, and making the LaCrosse slightly wider creates more aggressive and purposeful styling.

A new design for the grille features a larger opening. The 2017 LaCrosse has a recessed, blacked-out grille with a chrome surround. The three color insignia, red, blue, and silver is highlighted by uniquely shaped elements and set against a darkened grille for a dramatic look. This design adds a sense of depth and complexity to the front end of the 2017 LaCrosse.

In addition to being lower, longer, and broader than the 2016 model, the 2017 LaCrosse is much lighter. The stronger yet lighter structure is due to the use of high-strength steel. This press-hardened steel helps the 2017 LaCrosse achieve more precise handling and better efficiency. In addition to the above-mentioned benefits, the new materials absorb sound better, resulting in less noise and vibration, thus improving comfort for the LaCrosse’s occupants.

Buick also raised its standards for connectivity and technology for 2017. The LaCrosse offers innovative technologies not found on its competitors, including the Lexus ES. Some of the advanced technology features include configurations for teen drivers, wireless charging, a driver information center, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar 4G LTE with Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities, and an 8-inch-diagonal color display.

For 2017, Buick updated the LaCrosse’s cabin, as well. It is outfitted with a stronger, bolder design. The cabin is somewhat reminiscent of a cockpit. A new floating console design was added to the 2017 LaCrosse. Leather-appointed front seats and a new lumbar massaging feature provide the ultimate in comfort.

Buick added safety features for 2017 on the LaCrosse, as well. Some of those include ten standard airbags with airbags for the driver’s knees, rear vision camera, front pedestrian braking, forward collision alert, and park assist.
