2018 GMC Terrain Pricing
After its first seven years of production, the GMC Terrain will kick off its second generation with an all-new model for 2018. The lowest starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the midsize crossover SUV will be $25,970. The 2018 GMC Terrain price will vary according to trim, powertrain, and drivetrain configuration. The aforementioned MSRP of $25,970 will be for the base-level SL trim with a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD).
At the next trim level, which is the SLE, the 2018 Terrain price will be $28,795 if it’s a FWD vehicle and $30,545 if it’s with an all-wheel drivetrain (AWD). If the SUV is fitted with the 1.6-liter turbo-diesel inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine instead of the gasoline-powered 1.5-liter turbo I4, the 2018 Terrain price rises to $32,565 with the FWD and $34,315 with the AWD.
Going up to the SLT trim provides a starting MSRP price of $32,295 with the FWD and $34,045 with the AWD. With the 1.6-liter turbo-diesel I4, the 2018 GMC Terrain price increases to $35,140 and $36,890, respectively.
The Denali is the top-level trim available, standing apart from the other models with its 2.0-liter turbo I4. Since the turbo-diesel engine is not available on the Denali, it has two starting MSRPs: $38,495 with the FWD and $40,245 with the AWD.
The all-new, 2018 GMC Terrain comes with a choice of the three aforementioned engines, all of which are new for this production cycle. The 1.5-liter I4 produces 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, the 1.6-liter diesel I4 generates 134 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque, and the 2.0-liter I4 pumps out 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Each engine is paired with a brand-new 9-speed automatic transmission for ultimate gear-shifting convenience. Accompanying the powertrain is a Traction Select system for maximizing tire contact with the road. Other standard features on the GMC Terrain include a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless open and start ability, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE Internet access, a five-year OnStar Basic Plan subscription for a suite of car care services, a flat-folding front passenger seat to expand cargo space, and signature LED daytime running lamps and taillamps.
Upping the ante is the Denali trim. In addition to being the 2.0-liter I4 being exclusive to it, the Denali stands out with brighter and longer-lasting LED headlamps, larger 19-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels, heating capability on the steering wheel, seven-speaker Bose Premium audio, a hands-free power programmable liftgate, and an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system. Also exclusive to the Denali are several advanced safety features, which include rear park assist, safety alert seat, rear cross traffic alert, and side blind zone alert with lane change alert.
