2019 Buick Lacrosse: Full Size Luxury, Captivating Performance
The 2019 Buick LaCrosse is a traditional, tame sedan that offers the user experience for which the automaker is known. It offers enough style, refinement, and compelling options to compete with brands that cost much more. Fresh off a complete redesign and under-hood upgrades, the New Buick LaCrosse is a great buy indeed. Read on to learn more about Buick’s newest sedan.
Styling
The LaCrosse has all the style one would expect from a brand’s flagship vehicle. Its refined curves and stylish interior help it stand out from its competitors without being too overstated. A curvy hood, sweeping headlights, and large grille do much to soften the front end’s looks, and at the rear, the tail end is clean and simple. The interior is clean and understated as well, with well-placed controls and an almost perfectly symmetrical dashboard.
Performance
Driving the LaCrosse is extremely comfortable and soft, but not at the expense of handling and ride quality. When pushed to its limits, it performs very well, but it’s at its best when it’s cruising at highway speeds. The optional V6 with 310 horsepower pulls strongly, and driving manners are more than adequate. The eAssist version is considered a mild hybrid, pairing an electric motor to a 2.5L inline four. This engine puts out a modest 194 horsepower and 187 lb. ft. of torque.
Handling and Ride
The light, stiff chassis and nimble steering help the New Buick LaCrosse feel almost athletic in the curves. 18″ wheels come standard, while 20″ rims and an adjustable suspension are available. As one would expect from a Buick, the sound dampening on the LaCrosse provides a quiet, sedate in-cabin experience.
Quality and Comfort
The fit and finish on the 2019 LaCrosse is top-notch, and there’s tremendous attention to detail. The trunk is spacious enough for most drivers’ needs, and the power adjustable front seats combined with the authentic feel of the synthetic leather upholstery offer a luxury experience. On the Premium trim, drivers get leather seats and a massage feature for the driver and front-seat passenger. While the sweeping roofline cuts rear-seat head and legroom somewhat, shoulder room is quite plentiful.
Safety
The 2019 Buick LaCrosse hasn’t yet been rated by the NHTSA or the IIHS, but it’s so mechanically similar to last year’s model that scores are expected to be largely the same. Last year’s version got a five-star score overall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the IIHS gave it a Good crash test score and a rating of Superior for its auto emergency brakes.
The 2019 LaCrosse has something for everyone, and it’s sure to please even the choosiest driver. Take one for a test drive today and see everything the LaCrosse has to offer. Dave Arbogast is your number 1 Dayton Buick Dealer, don’t hesitate to contact us or give us a call with any questions.
