The 2020 Mustang GT500 is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that delivers 760 horsepower and 625 l-ft of torque. The Eaton supercharger compresses air up to 12 psi then sent to the intercooler and back to the intake valve. This powerful engine is paired with a smooth, quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that gives the Mustang GT500 0-60 time of only 3.5 seconds. The GT is available with an RWD that provides superior traction.

The GT500 rolls on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that offer exceptional grip and performance. The Shelby GT500 is equipped with highly advanced magnetorheological dampers that are electronically controlled and can adapt to the road condition to deliver a smooth and comfortable ride. Optional package includes carbon-fiber wheels, track tires, and aerodynamic systems that take performance to another level. The Mustang GT500 also features 16.5-inch two-piece brake and six-piston Brembo calipers that deliver unmatched braking capabilities.
The Mustang is also fitted with an electric-assist power steering rack that is sensitive and enables it to turn at high speeds and swerve instantly when avoiding an obstacle.
EPA rates the Mustang at 12 mpg city, 18 mpg highway and 14 mpg combined and comes with a 16-gallon fuel tank.

Safety and Driver Assistance Technology
The NHTSA gives the 2020 Shelby five-star safety ratings. The IIHS rates the GT500 crash prevention as Acceptance. The Safe and Smart package offered by Ford features adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rain-sensing wipers, tire pressure sensors, rear-cross traffic alert, and a rear-view camera.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Mustang GT500 comes with comfortable and spacious six-way power-adjustable front seats equipped with heating and ventilation features. The rear-seats are slightly less sufficient for adults, but it offers enough space for kids. The interior environment is made comfortable by a dual-zone climate control that regulates and maintains internal temperature and humidity at a comfortable level for driver and passengers. The cabin is shielded to the outside noise, but the engine roaring sound is heard even at low speeds. Heated steering is also available as an option package. The Shelby GT500 also offers fourteen cubic-feet of cargo space. The front legroom measures 44.5 inches,29.0 inches for rear legroom, front headroom measures 37.6 inches, and 34.8 inches for back headroom.Technology
The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen that features Android Auto compatibility, Apple CarPlay, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi, which are standard. Other standard features include SiriusXM satellite radio player, a CD player, nine-speakers, and two USB ports. Technology package offers navigation, 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen stereo system for some added fee.Exterior Features

It is designed with swooping angular lines and bulging vented hood and winglets aplenty. The reason for this design is to enhance the downforce and ensure that enough air is channeled into the supercharger. The Shelby is also equipped with LED daytime running lights and cobra emblem, which is Shelby’s trademark. The Mustang also features 20-inch wheels and a massive wing and rear spoiler.
When it comes to dimensions, the GT measures 107.1 inches from wheel to wheel, 54.3 inches in height, but the Carbon Fiber Track Package the Mustang stands at 53.7 inches in height. The width is increased to 75.4 inches to accommodate wider tires. The total weight of this car is about 4171 lbs.
