General Information
The Ford Ranger 2021 is offered in two different body styles (two door and four door) as well as two bed lengths (a five-foot bed and a six-foot bed). It is available in four-wheel drive or rear wheel drive. The addition of this Terrain Management System offers the driver a little fine tuning to the transmission so that the truck adapts easily to various road conditions. Payload of the latest Ford Ranger is an estimated 1860 pounds.
Interior
The Ford Ranger is considered a mid-size truck, but drivers and passengers will still enjoy a comfortable and spacious cabin. The SuperCab (a two-door truck with an extended cab) offers seating up to four adults. The SuperCrew (a four-door truck) offers seating for up to five adult passengers. The driver will enjoy a large, touchscreen infotainment system known as Ford Sync. This invaluable piece of equipment makes gauges and entertainment available at the touch of a finger. All Rangers are standard with Ford CoPilot360, which allows for the use of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto – apps that allow drivers to pair their smart phones with the software in the truck. Using this technology, drivers can make and receive phone calls, send text messages, and ask Siri or Alexa for directions all by the sound of your voice. Your eyes never need leave the road when using this safety feature.
Speaking of the Ford CoPilot360, drivers will be able to utilize blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, forward collision warnings, and automatic emergency braking in order to stay safe on the road.
Trim Packages
The XL is the base trim level of the Ford Ranger, but it is far from a “basic” trim. You can add the FX4 and towing packages in order to maximize the towing and hauling capabilities of the Ranger. You’ll get the Ford CoPilot360 safety system standard, as well as a standard back-up camera.
The XLT is the mid-level trim package; you can add a few amenities to the interior of the Ranger with this trim as well as the towing and FX4 package for a great truck at a great value.
