2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD All Terrain XFor adventure and exploration, the 2017 Sierra HD All Terrain X is here. GMC calls it the most off-road-capable Sierra HD pickup with signature refinement and trail-ready style. The All Terrain X series also includes Canyon and Sierra 1500 editions.

Shoppers will find the fun on limited editions of the 2500HD crew cab 4WD models. GMC offers a choice of engines. The powerful 6-liter V-8 kicks out 360 horsepower and 380 lb.-ft. of torque. With this engine, drivers can command 90 percent of the truck’s torque at a low 2,000 rpm. The 6.6-liter Duramax turbo diesel has been reengineered for more power and more capability. The outgoing Duramax engine generates 397 horsepower and 765 lb.-ft. of torque. All Terrain X Duramax engines kick out 445 horsepower and 910 lb.-ft. of torque. With these numbers, the 2017 Sierra HD All Terrain X leads its class in capability.

Professional grade capability is right at home in this muscular GMC truck. A unique body-color grille surround wears an All Terrain X insert. A monochromatic look is accomplished with body-colored side moldings and body-color door handles. Black belt moldings, black B-pillars, black sport side steps, and black-painted aluminum wheels are matched to a Black Onyx or Summit White exterior. Black trailering mirrors are power-heated, power-adjustable, and power-folding.

For off-road performance, the truck adds the Z71 suspension package to its tough 4×4 capability. It also gets help from an Eaton automatic locking rear differential. An underbody shield and front bumper skid plate add the armor needed for protection. The tires have an aggressive tread to provide the grip you need for exceptional off-road capability.

Drivers will appreciate the All Terrain X interior amenities, including a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and adjustable pedals. Leather covers the seats, and all-weather liners protect the floors. The large center console has reconfigurable cupholders and compartments, allowing you to decide how to use the space.

Entertainment starts with the IntelliLink eight-inch color touchscreen with HD radio and smartphone audio streaming. Other All Terrain X tech includes a wireless charger and a remote starting system. The Sierra XD has dual 12-volt power points, a 110-volt outlet, five USB ports, and a cord management system. A Rear Vision Camera and front/rear park assist take the stress out of parking. OnStar adds a helpful WiFi hotspot and SOS connectivity.

A black sport bar is ready for available LED off-road driving lamps. Other All Terrain X bed standards include a spray-on liner and a remote-locking tailgate. Every Sierra HD pickup has cargo tie-downs and GMC’s CornerSteps.

The 2017 GMC Sierra HD All Terrain X will soon be available to see for yourself or take a test drive at Dave Arbogast Buick GMC.
