Buick and the NFL: A Dave Arbogast Case Study

Buick and the NFL: A Dave Arbogast Case StudyThere is nothing more American than good old fashioned NFL Football. It seems that this time of year, football season, is a time when I relate almost everything on my mind into a football analogy. It’s natural. For example, my breakfast at the local roadside diner has decreased in quality over the last few months. They brought in a new cook and my diner has become very Detroit Lions like. It has been good, it can be good, and it should be good! But it’s not; it’s just bland and unsatisfying at the moment.

So I recently came to the realization that I am in need of a new vehicle. It’s been a long time coming, but now it’s inevitable. So, I started looking for my next automobile. I started ranking all of the cars on my radar, just like I ranked all of the teams that look to be playoff bound this year. Here is what I’ve come up with:

The Buick Regal/Houston Texans

The Buick Regal stands out to me as being efficient, but with great acceleration. It has a quick acceleration that comes out of nowhere. The Regal reminds me of this year’s Houston Texans squad. Matt Schaub’s offense and the defense, led by JJ Watts, are equally efficient on both sides of the ball. So efficient, in fact, that you come to expect it. However, lurking under that veil of efficiency is the quick strike scoring potential of Andre Johnson and Arian Foster.

The Buick Lacrosse/New England Patriots

I see two things right away when I look at the Buick Lacrosse, beauty and luxury. The exterior is smooth. I would say that it flows. In football, there are few things as beautiful and luxurious as the New England Patriots. Coach Bill Belichick has had that team running efficiently for years. Tom Brady adds the beauty, just ask the ladies.

The Buick Enclave/New York Giants

The Buick Enclave appears to have been built to never blend in. It stands apart and catches your attention. It’s not just a pretty face, it’s very practical. It’s a big SUV that doesn’t spell any trouble when you pull up to the gas pump. The Enclave is the New York Giants of the car world. Eli Manning pilots this team and it stands out from the league. Proof positive is that World Championship Trophy that sits in their offices. However flashy they are, when you look at the components of this team, you can see that each member of the roster is equally important as Eli.

The Buick Encore/Indianapolis Colts

The Buick Encore is the up and comer of the bunch. It’s a utility vehicle that has all of the technology that you need to move and improve. Just like Andrew Luck’s Indianapolis Colts, I see great things ahead for this automobile!
