NewVeranoShaghaiChinaBuick continues to shed its reputation as an automaker that only produces cars for grandparents. The new Verano is a perfect example of Buick’s commitment to developing vehicles that are fun to drive. Recently unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show, the all-new Buick Verano is bound to be a smash hit in China. The compact sedan is now sportier and more technologically advanced than ever before. Here are some of the key improvements found on the Buick Verano.

Efficient Powertrain
Buick made sure that the all-new Verano will feature an eco-friendly power source. Under the hood of the sedan sits a turbocharged 1.5-liter, Ecotec four-cylinder engine. With a total output of 166 ponies and 184 pound-feet of torque, the engine should provide drivers with ample performance. In an effort to give the sedan an even more engaging character, it has also been fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Although the official fuel economy numbers have yet to be released, car shoppers can expect to be very impressed. A start-stop feature comes standard, which will help to further boost gas mileage.

Dynamic Styling
From a styling standpoint, the new Buick Verano is certainly not an “old man” car. Designed with Buick’s signature waterfall grille, the Verano makes its presence known. Meanwhile, the addition of HID xenon headlights helps to give the sedan a very modern appearance. Onlookers will instantly notice the Verano’s sculpted body lines. On the rear, the squared exhaust tips take the sedan’s sportiness to an even higher level.

Optimized Chassis
To the delight of driving enthusiasts, the new Verano was designed with a very athletic chassis. This should equate to a more engaging performance on the road. Equipped with a set of 17-inch performance tires, the nimble sedan will also maintain excellent traction. For the drivers who desire a sporty driving machine, the Buick Verano promises to provide them with a high degree of excitement.

Anticipation in American
Upon the revealing of the new Buick Verano in China, many car enthusiasts are hoping the sedan is showcased in America. Due to a number of significant changes, the Verano will be an even better overall performer. China has obviously become very fond of Buick automobiles over the last few years. In fact, Buick is currently one of the fastest growing brands in the country. Last year, General Motors sold in excess of three million vehicles in China.
