Buick’s myBuick mobile app is a new way to keep track of driving habits on the go in Buick automobiles. The myBuick mobile app compiles data including but not limiting to driving habits, average vehicle usage, and tips on bettering driving behavior.

In the myBuick app, the app keeps track of the driver’s habits such as any hard-braking the driver does, hard accelerating, driving late at night or speeding. Being able to see these habits a driver has, along with other tips to improve driving, can help the driver to change or learn what they’re doing wrong and improve. The app also grades the driver on their driving skills, so competitive drivers may benefit from making those improvements and increasing their driving grade.

Maintenance and saving money

The myBuick app also keeps track of the total number of miles that have been driven and the total mpg and/or mph on the car. Keeping track of this information in the app could be helpful in knowing when it would be time for maintenance or possible mileage overages. The app monitors vehicle status and recommends maintenance as needed such as oil changes and monitors fuel levels and tire pressure.

The myBuick app also provides remote access information for the vehicle including remote vehicle start if remote vehicle start is equipped, unlocking and locking doors straight from the app, activating the horn and lights, and finding the vehicle if needed. If the vehicle has Wi-Fi capabilities, the hotspot can be turned on and off in the app. The name of the hotspot can also be viewed or edited as well as the password, and any remains data or the current data plan on the vehicle can be viewed.

In the myBuick app, there are deals and offers available to use such as finding the best priced gas and ordering breakfast ahead. Various deals and promotions are able to be accessed. The myBuick app also has a rewards program embedded in the app. Information about the program and details about how to enroll in the program are listed along with any available points or the balance of points and accessibility to other aspects of the account.
