First-Ever Enclave Avenir offers Family-Oriented Luxury
Since its debut in 2007, the Buick Enclave has wowed customers looking for a mid-sized spacious, quiet, and luxurious three-row crossover. And now, as Buick is geared to kick off the vehicle’s second production cycle with a brand-new design for the 2018 model year, there will be a new top-of-the-line variant added to the line-up: the Avenir. With a more impressive list of standard and optional features than ever before, the Enclave Avenir is primed to be the top choice in the luxury crossover market.
The power plant installed on the 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir is a 3.6-liter V6 engine, which produces 302 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Hitched to a nine-speed automatic transmission, the V6 comes with stop/start technology, which contributes to fuel efficiency by shutting down the engine when not in motion. Coupled with a factory-installed towing package, the powertrain enables the Enclave Avenir to tow up to a formidable 5,000 lbs. And the standard MacPherson strut front suspension and five-link rear suspension—with the choice of continuously variable real-time damping—help provide a smooth, cushioned ride on even the roughest terrain.
Outside, the 2018 Buick Avenir sports a sleeker and more athletic profile than previous models. New for the Enclave nameplate is Evonik Acrylite exterior lighting, which garners the power of over a hundred LEDs to provide stronger illumination than ever before. Inside, the Avenir upholds the Enclave reputation for cabin quietness with the enhancement of QuietTuning and active noise cancellation technologies for even more effectiveness in keeping out vibration and unwanted noise. There’s more than enough room for up to seven people. And with the foldability of the second and third rows, you can extend cargo room to 97.6 cubic feet when needed.
The Buick Enclave Avenir is loaded with a robust list of comfort and convenience features. They include a remote keyless entry system with push-button engine start, a Wi-Fi hotspot for 4G LTE wireless Internet access, a rear vision camera with rear park assist for monitoring reverse driving, tri-zone automatic control with in-vehicle ionization for cleaner and fresher air, and a 10-speaker Bose Premium sound system that includes an 8-inch touchscreen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smartphone-based control. For safety, Buick provides a grand total of seven airbags, which includes a front center side airbag. And there are several available crash-avoidance features or enhancements, which include front pedestrian braking, rear cross traffic alert, safety alert seat, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and surround vision (in place of the rear vision camera).
The 2018 Buick Avenir will be available in the fall of 2017. Contact us today and keep yourself informed on updates such as pricing and availability.
