GMC Builds Quality SUVs

August 19th, 2019 by

GMC is producing more SUVs thanks to its best ever first quarter sales of the Acadia and Terrain. GMC ended the first quarter with its worldwide SUV sales up by 9.4%. Sales for the Terrain alone rose by 38%. The increase in demand caused the company to expand production by adding a third shift at its Spring Hill manufacturing plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, GMC’s headquarters.

GMC recently redesigned the Terrain and the Acadia. According to GMC’s sales growth, this was a good move. Not only did the auto maker redesign their best SUV models, but they also did so in a way that appeals to car buyers. While it took a bit of time, the Terrain and the Acadia have finally found their place in the market. GMC’s full-size Yukon and Yukon XL are continuing to take on the role of quality SUV by being spacious without making the person behind the wheel feel as though he or she is driving a limo. “This sales momentum will continue to built on a strong product portfolio for our global markets,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC, said in a press release from the company.

With its stylish redesign, the GMC Terrain is being snapped up by one out of every two car buyers in the U.S. who are just discovering the GMC brand. Since the vehicle industry has become one in which midsize and small SUVs are more than a third of all vehicle sales, GMC is in the perfect spot to continue growing, making it arguably the best brand.

GMC’s collection of best SUV models is joined by the market’s only premium truck lineup with offerings in every available truck category including midsize, full-size and heavy-duty. The GMC truck lineup saw sales growth in 2017, allowing the brand to reach one of the industry’s highest average transaction prices.

GMC recently released the next generation of its Sierra Denali. The Sierra AT4, which will come with an abundance of off-road driving features, will come out later in the year, cementing GMC’s best brand standing even more. Like the car maker’s SUVs, these new trucks will display striking exterior designs and the auto industry’s best technology. GMC should hopefully lead the pack when it comes to overall capability and functionality. The Sierra AT4 is the launch of a new brand, one that will be available with every vehicle in GMC’s lineup within the next few years.

As a builder of quality trucks since 1902, GMC was bound to become a top seller of SUVs. The car company now sells its vehicles in at least a dozen different countries around the world. GMC develops vehicles that are meant to be used for work, play or both. Along with this, quality SUV models like the Terrain, Acadia and Yukon are causing the car industry to up its game. This could be good news for car buyers since it means that better, safer and nicer looking SUVs should continue arriving on the market.
