GMC Heads to the 2014 Pro Bowl and Super Bowl XLVIII

GMC has been chosen as the official vehicle of the National Football League (NFL) for the ninth year. The current GMC lineup is being featured at events before and during Super Bowl XLVIII. GMC is also directly involved in many of the NFL award ceremonies and events. This involvement includes providing new GMC trucks to award winners and continuing to support the military families attending the games.

Presence at the Pro Bowl

GMC was one of the most visible companies at the Pro Bowl this year. The event was held in Hawaii. GMC helped to sponsor the event. The company was very active in the Official Tailgate party and the Block Party featuring NFL all-stars. GMC had a number of the newest models of trucks on display in Hawaii for both fans and players to see. GMC also provided the prizes for some of the most valuable players named after the game. The top offensive player was awarded a new 2015 GMC Yukon. The most valuable defensive player received a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali.

Transportation to the NFL Honors Awards

GMC is also an active participant in the 2014 NFL Honors Awards. This show is held just before Super Bowl XLVIII. It is the time when players received some of the most coveted awards for performance or for an entire career. GMC is helping by providing transportation for all players. Anyone attending will be shuttled through New York City to Radio City Music Hall in a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali. This includes some honored guests who are not players.

Special GMC Events at Times Square During the Super Bowl

A stretch of 13 blocks around Times Square has been taken over by GMC and a few other sponsors of Super Bowl XLVIII. The area is being called the Super Bowl Boulevard Engineered by GMC. This is an area where fans can take part in any number of fun and informative activities in the days before the game. All of the current models of GMC trucks available are on display in the area. A six-story toboggan is also available allowing anyone to ride for nearly 200 feet through Times Square. Visitors who come into the boulevard can have a picture taken with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player trophy. Visitors will also find virtual theaters, giveaways and games.

Continuing Support for the Military

GMC continues the long tradition of supporting the military even during Super Bowl XLVIII. Military members and families have received tickets to events from GMC along with transportation to the events. One soldier was chosen to help during the Most Valuable Player Awards at the Pro Bowl. These military families were even given special access through GMC to the practice sessions before the Pro Bowl game.
