GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept
The Detroit Auto Show presented for the first time the GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept, a 100% American truck. It’s big, it’s high, it’s powerful, and we pray GM builds it! The All Terrain HD concept is based upon the 2011 Sierra HD 4WD chassis with the Duramax 6.6-liter turbodiesel.
The suspension setup is designed for serious off-roading, with a three-inch lift, large skid plates and special Fox off-road shocks. Adding a macho look to the truck are 35-inch BFGoodrich KM2 “mud terrain” tires sitting on 20-inch machined aluminum wheels.
For now, the truck is a show piece, but GMC says it wants to gauge the public’s reaction to the idea of a diesel-powered beast of a truck. Lisa Hutchinson, GMC product marketing director in a statement said, “Although it is strictly a concept, it is a pretty realistic one.”
The team at Dave Arbogast GMC hopes Lisa is correct! The GMC Sierra All Terrain HD Concept would be an awesome addition to our lineup.
