GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Edition Review

GMC-Sierra-Denali-Ultimate-EditionThe GMC Sierra has been around for almost 17 years, so it is no surprise that General Motors has pretty much perfected everything about the truck, even offering a Sierra Denali. Denali is the trim name given to top of the line vehicles made by GM. So, how could the manufacturer possibly top the best of the best? They created something better with the 2016 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Edition.

Why Did GM Do This?

In recent years, General Motors has experienced a drop in the light duty truck market. In fact, they have held a barely discernible percentage of those sold throughout the United States. In order to get more attention and to grab sales in the market, they had to offer something new and that’s how the Ultimate Edition was born.

What It Has to Offer

Some of the minor changes to this truck on the exterior include a newly designed grill and upgraded wheels. Most of the premium changes, though, may not be quite so obvious until you take one of these trucks on a test drive. Here’s some of the features that come standard on the Ultimate Edition:

– 4WD Crew Cab
– LED Head Lights
– LED Lighting Accessories
– Tri-Mode Power Steps (They automatically extend when needed)
– Wireless Phone Charging
– 8-Inch Driver Display
– GMC IntelliLink
– 4G LTE Connectivity
– Apple CarPlay
– 355 Horsepower, 5.3 Liter V8 Engine or 6.2 Liter V8 (Both engines are EcoTech)

The interior of the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Edition has been upgraded too. Soft touch leather seating is standard on these trucks. Additionally, they include an upgraded Bose sound system.

Power Steps

As mentioned, the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate includes power steps that extend automatically when needed for easier access to the truck cab. However, this isn’t all that they can do. The power steps can be extended toward the rear of the truck to give anyone access to the front of the bed without having to make a dangerous climb.

Safety

All of the lighting on this truck, including headlights, taillights, and accent lighting, is LED. This offers the brightest lights for more safety when driving at night or in dim light. Other safety features included on the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Edition include IntelliBeam headlights, integrated controllers for trailer brakes, and lane departure warnings.

As you can see, the GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Edition has plenty to offer, and it most certainly is the top of the line. And, General Motors has certainly taken a step forward by even upgrading the standard Denali features for the Ultimate in a light-duty truck driving experience.
