Learn How the New Colors of the 2018 Buick Cascada Were Chosen
Buick customers love the Cascada. Good news for them: New colors are coming to the 2018 model. The 2018 Buick Cascada will introduce drivers to three new options in exterior colors. Drivers will also have two new convertible top colors to choose from.
New convertible top colors for the 2018 Buick Cascada:
• Malbec
• Sweet Mocha
New exterior colors for the 2018 Buick Cascada:
• Carrageen Metallic
• Dark Moon Blue Metallic
• Rioja Red Metallic
Take a look behind the scenes at the process of how Buick chose the new colors for the 2018 Buick Cascada. According to Buick, these color additions were inspired by advanced analysis of trending colors and research into customer preferences based on customer feedback. The trending colors come not only from the automotive world but also from fashion and interior design trends.
The lead designer at Buick’s Color and Trim Studio, Catherine Black, explains that “color is back” for the 2018 season. She went on to say that while the majority of Buick’s customers purchased neutral-toned vehicles in black, grey, and silver, the market is definitely trending away from neutrals and more toward bold, dark colors such as dark blues and shades of maroon.
On-trend color options help the Cascada stand out in a market segment where design choices are often limited. These, combined with the 2018 Buick Cascada’s luxury features, will help win over design-conscious customers while staying in a desirable price range.
The Design Color and Trim Studio’s roll-out of the five new color choices is part of its ongoing, advanced analysis of global consumer trim and color trend preferences. At the Studio, Buick’s creative design team continues to analyze, design, develop, and research interior and exterior color possibilities. Their research will influence the design of vehicles 4-5 years in the making.
Sharon Gauci, the global direction of Buick Design Color and Trim, says that Buick is able to produce vehicles that match what customers want specifically because the Studio is able to put so much specialized knowledge and research into its color palette. In fact, the new 2018 Buick Cascada colors are so on-trend that they appear in PANTONE’s Fall 2017 Fashion Color Report.
