Luxury and Style Dominate the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali
The 2018 GMC Yukon Denali promises to break through barriers when it comes to luxury and refinement. Designing engineers have added a number of new improvements, some of which are subtly elegant, while others remain more direct. The form is beautiful, but they still packed in plenty of function.
The newly sculpted front grill provides a unique, graceful look. The genuine Mastique Ash wood trim has given the interior a rich depth that resonates with quality. At the same time, they have installed a 10 speed automatic transmission. Paired up with the huge 6.2 L V-8 engine and the locking rear differential, it creates a powerful, smooth acceleration, even when towing or hauling a full load.
They have built in GMC’s trademarked StabiliTrack electronic stability control, trailer sway control, and auto grade braking. This makes the new Denali a great choice if you enjoy outdoor activities mixed with comfort.
The interior choices like leather, wood trim, USB ports, a 110-volt three-prong outlet for home appliances, 5 years of OnStar, and a customizable driver display with a heads-up option set the standard for modern convenience. With the heated second row seats, rear ventilation, and the GMC Infotainment system, including Apple CarPlay, it also sets the standard for comfort and family transportation.
GMC is not understating the importance of design and aesthetics when it came to this new edition of the Yukon. The entirely unique form of the front grill was sculpted in multiple layers to create an exclusive, artistic look. Matt Noone is the director of Global GMC Exterior Design. He headed up the release announcement which introduced all of the new advances and concepts.
“The new grille, which is flanked by HID headlamps and LED Signature Lighting,” he said, “advances the design legacy established with the very first Yukon Denali in 1999. It’s a more exciting and sophisticated design, while remaining instantly recognizable as part of the GMC Denali family.”
Aside from the aesthetic of the grille, it also greatly increases airflow to the radiator. Other advances include a shuttering system that can improve aerodynamics in certain highway conditions.
The improvements to the transmission, going from the previous 8-speed to the new 10-speed, creates greater fuel efficiency and a smoother acceleration curve, as well as precision response.
The new 2018 GMC Yukon Denali goes on sale in the fall, and it promises to continue the over one hundred years of tradition at GMC. Luxury and performance have come together with design and convenience in this newest entry in GMC’s most popular edition of the Yukon.
