A test drive is an important step in the diagnostic process. During the test drive we check for correct shifting patterns, TCC engagement, 4 wheel drive performance, unusual sounds, and vibrations.

A visual inspection of the transmission is important to ensure the external components are working properly. We make sure to check conditions of wiring and connections, engine mounts, shift cable or linkage, U-Joints or CV Joints, and gaskets for fluid retention.
