Sierra Elevation Edition Raises Bar for Sports Truck

December 7th, 2014 by

One of the most anticipated truck models for the year 2015 was unveiled earlier this week. The 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition by GMC is a fresh entry into the sport pickup truck market. The Sierra Elevation Edition provides a mixture of features not found in the competition.

It’s anticipated that the Sierra Elevation Edition will have the same influence on the pickup truck market as the Sierra Denali and Sierra HD Denali did. These models elevated the standard for pickup trucks in the premium bracket. Customers shopping for a pickup truck will be pleasantly surprised at what the 2015 Sierra Elevation has to offer. Duncan Aldred, the U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC, recently discussed how the arresting appearance of the vehicle in conjunction with is features makes the Elevation Edition an elevated standard of what a designer pickup truck can be.

The 2015 Sierra Elevation is constructed on the same bedrock frame as a regular double-cab 2015 Sierra 1500 pickup. However, the 2015 Sierra Elevation features a body-colored grille surround, mirror caps, side moldings, color-keyed door handles, in addition to front and rear bumpers crafted to give the pickup truck a dramatic monochromatic look. The headlights and 20-inch wheels have also earned praise in the industry.

For convenience, each 2015 Sierra Elevation model comes loaded with remotes instead of traditional keys. Additional features included with each model are power mirrors, a 110-volt AC power outlet, and LED cargo box lighting. Advanced connectivity is included with every Elevation Edition, as is a 4.2-inch Intellilink color audio system and Bluetooth phone connectivity. OnStar is even included in each model, a feature that brings Wi-Fi hotspots into the vehicle for up to seven people.

To satisfy the need for speed and power, the 2015 Sierra Elevation can be bought with two- or four-wheel drive. Each model comes with a V-6 engine that can deliver 285 horsepower, 305 lb-ft of torque, and an EPA highway rating up to 24 mpg.

The models are expected to be available for purchase at GMC dealerships near the end of 2014. The prices for the models will be announced at a future date.

For over one hundred years, GMC has been manufacturing trucks with innovation and excellence. The 2015 Sierra Elevation Edition is the latest development in a long term effort by GMC to offer the best in fuel-efficient trucks and crossovers.
