The All-New 2015 GMC Yukon Awaits its Debut

October 3rd, 2013 by

With the upcoming debut of the 2015 GMC Yukon, the inspiring full-size SUV is sure not to dash anyone’s hopes. The Yukon mixes striking design elements with its interior and exterior, and  state-of-the-art technology enriches it greatly.

The IntelliLink system by GMC uses an eight-inch-diagonal Color Touch Screen with an interface similar to a smartphone. In addition, the steering wheel coordinates with the touch screen for easy accessibility. The system employs natural language voice recognition as well as Bluetooth connectivity for phone and audio. For added media functionality, the Yukon adds six USB ports, an SD card slot and an MP3 player input. MyMedia functions unites media from these separate sources to create a rich multimedia experience. And to pump up those crisp vocals with incomparable bass, Bose Premium Sound Systems are a nice touch.

The interior of the Yukon features burnished aluminum trim and rich poplar wood accents to balance it out. A center console can incorporate a laptop, hanging folders, or anything else one desires. With an eye on storage in mind, additional upper-door storage areas add utility, and third row seats fold-flat for augmented space. A convenient power release option is available for the seats to complement the space-saving components.

To balance out the interior is a striking exterior with distinguishing elements such as optional twenty-inch wheels and an intricate GMC grille with a chrome surround. To continue its eye-popping nature, the SUV utilizes projector beam headlights and LED lamps with a GMC-specific light signature.

And for those who relish a powerful engine, the Yukon delivers with an all-new EcoTec3 V8 managing 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. It accomplishes this with Direct Injection, Variable Valve Timing, and Active Fuel Management to maximize power and fuel economy. To beef up the SUV, it uses high-strength steel for the fully-boxed frame that smooths out the ride and handling. To perfect the handling, new electric variable-assist power rack-and-pinion steering system mitigates vibrations.

Lastly, converging technologies increase the SUVs safety starting with the OnStar System. GMC includes a six-month subscription that encompasses turn-by-turn navigation, automatic crash response, roadside assistance, emergency services link and remote door unlock. To accompany this, the SUV offers “alerts” for forward and rear collision, side blind zone and rear cross traffic.

An upgraded interior and exterior with modernized technology and extensive safety measures, the 2015 GMC Yukon is ready-to-roll soon. With upgraded style, comfort, and an impeccable attention to detail, it will make an impressive ride for anyone searching for their next vehicle.
