The Power of the Hat

The Power of the HatIt is the single, most intimidating thing that I own.

It’s a hat.

My Dave Arbogast Buick GMC Vans & RVs ball cap.

Let me explain. I was at the basketball game the other night when a friend sat down beside me. He knew I had changed jobs but he didn’t know where I was working. So he asked “How’s your new gig, dude?”

I pointed at my hat. His eyes got big, and the next thing he said was “Well, I don’t need a new car.”

“What?”

“Don’t be trying to sell me no new car. I don’t want another car.” And with that he fled into the bleachers.

Another friend told me that she was going shopping on Sunday, but “not for a new car. I don’t need a new car.”

People amaze me. I didn’t try to sell either one of them a car, and obviously they wouldn’t have listened to me anyway. But they should.

What I’m saying is, it doesn’t hurt to look, and you may be surprised at what you find. At Arbogast they encourage looking. You can walk around the lot, check out their inventory on line and not worry about a pushy salesperson.

I think visiting Dave Arbogast would do my friends some good. They might just be impressed, I know I am!
